CHT Architects satellite office resides in Penang, Malaysia. Working cohesively with it’s Australian head office in Melbourne, Sora were keen to emphasise the companies Australian origin within the fit out in Malaysia.

Deriving inspiration from the Australian Outback, a large open plan office was created. The undulating ceiling that spans throughout the meeting area and reception created from suspended timber dowls is representative of the undulating Australian landscape. At night, small led lights illuminate the space in patterns of stars which can be seen on a clear night down under.

A heavy solid reception desk, demands attention within the space; marble clad in yellow ochre tones, the desk took inspiration from Australia’s iconic Uluru.
